Throughout history, technological revolutions have changed the workforce, creating new forms and patterns of work. The inclusion of digitization makes conventional industrial process methods obsolete and gives way to broader changes. The International Labor Organization estimates that the shift to a greener and more digital economy could create 24 million new jobs worldwide by 2030 through the adoption of sustainable practices in the energy sector, the use of electric vehicles and the increase of energy efficiency in urban and industrial buildings.
